When you spend your time on still waters chasing chunky rainbows and fiesty high-elevation brookies, then the RIO Sub-Surface AquaLux II Fly Line better be on your spool. This sinking line features RIO's ConnectCore technology, which dramatically reduces the overall stretch of the line. Not only does this make for a more intuitive casting feel, it also makes for faster sets and increased sensitivity to subtle takes. A welded loop at the front of the line makes switching out rigs fast and easy, and the front-loaded shooting head is designed for long distance casting, so you can fish those ledges from a distance without spooking your soon-to-be catch.

Bought this as a gift and now I'm going to buy my own. The tip is completely transparent, and after seeing it in action the first day I was pleasantly surprised how well it did. This is definitely something I would only use on a lake or on a really slow deep pool as the sink rate may be a bit too fast for the not so deep and fast stuff.
