Have to agree w others, the elastic band feels super flimsy as well the “tightener” does NOT hold tight AT ALL. The elastic keeps coming loose because the tightener has virtually no bite. Too bad I really like the fabric. Also the top is quite small and tight, my legs are skinny so a size M fits but only over trekking tights or very slim fitting Gore pants, definitely would never fit over normal pants. Might keep and wear under pant legs to keep ticks and dust out but I don’t know... that elastic sucks. Might replace a t with my own cord that’s more durable or just return them. Idk yet. Disappointing.

I have bigger ankles and I was a little worried about the tight fit after reading other reviews. I've luckily had no issues. I even wear braces on both ankles and these fit around them fine. The fabric is tough and seems very water resistant (I've yet to be in wet weather with them). I'm an avid trail runner and peak bagger and I am happy to report that I haven't had any rocks in shoes since wearing these. I highly recommend them.

I wear these glacading in the spring time with trail running shoes. They keep the snow out of my shoes, are very light weight and fit securely.

I called Rab the customer service in Colorado didn't seem to care that these don't fit. I asked if they have XL, I ordered Large he said no the only make this gaiter in 2 sizes. I explained to him that I've seen alot of big guys out backpacking and hiking. He didn't seem to care. Well that will be the last thing I buy from Rab, since they only cater to the skinny leg people and not muscular stocky people like myself. I got news for Rab more big people hike and backpack because it's alot easier to lose weight when you're looking at nature. I guess I'll continue to have my circulation cuttoff in my legs till I find a pair I like, cause I used like these until I realized they don't fit well.
