The Prana Stretch Zion Men's Short prefers to spend the summer navigating slot canyons and working on bouldering problems, and like you, it'll also welcome some day-time refreshments along with lunch with friends in the city. Its four-way stretch fabric delivers mobility and quick-drying comfort to handle crowded sidewalks and bustling national parks alike, while abrasion-resistant nylon withstands the abuse the comes with long rocky scrambles and brushy approaches through the brambles. It's also water-repelling for rains and stains. Then, the ventilated free-range gusset brings a refreshing level of breathable comfort through hotter days, and the mesh pockets offer lightweight storage for your maps, wallet, keys, and snacks.

Full Reviews
I have not worn these enough for a full review, but just wanted to share a comment on sizing. I have both the Prana Bronson short, and also the Brion short, and size 36 fits. These Zion shorts, I had to go up to 38, they run smaller than my other Prana shorts. Hope this might help someone.

I jumped in these bad boys while day hiking Fall mountain and river trails at Morrow Mountain, NC State Park. Now these right here are some aesthetically pleasing and equally well performing hiking shorts. I'm not entirely sure what or if there is any one single thing about these shorts that I find to make them so like-able, maybe its that there is no one thing and they are just a well designed product! Aside from my increased sense of vanity while wearing these shorts, they held up through some rougher terrain, never restricted my movement, wicked away any sweat I may of had, breathed while not being constructed of "thin" or sheer fabric. I used these in milder weather (upper 70s) so I cannot attest to how they handle at hot temperatures. Usually would order a shorter inseam but they were out of stock, nevertheless the longer fabric did not bother me.

These are my go to shorts for almost anything (same for the Zion pants). They are comfortable, move with me and are very durable. I have purchased several shorts and pants over the years. They fit great.

These shorts are so cool and fit good and look great. I got the 12" and that was a great decision for me.

Seriously, I now work from home due to COVID; and I literally wear mine every day. The only time I DON'T wear them is when they go into the washing machine; and since they dry super quickly, VOILA! They are back on! I got the 12" length, FWIW. I keep thinking I need at least one more pair. They are just plain PERFECT! Oh, the ventilated gusset (crotch) keeps the boys nice and comfortable.

These shorts are great. The material feels nice, but still seems pretty durable, and they dry fairly well. The one-sided built-in belt is a little weird to get used to, but I found that the waistband can be made to slide evenly so that they don't bunch up on one side.

I’ve worn these pretty much constantly since getting them a few weeks ago. Mostly just around town, but also on a couple hikes. The fit is a little more loose than I expected: I’m usually a 34” waist so I got the 34 and I probably could’ve gotten away with 33. But the waist adjustment strap is great and they fit fine. I ordered the longer length and I’m glad I did. The stretch is amazing. I would definitely order these again.

These are great shorts. The material is stretchy but feels thick and durable despite their lightweight. Perfect size (great sizing options), great pockets, and cool color. Only things holding it back from 5stars: The “belt strap” takes a little getting used to as it cinches only one side in the front & the zipper doesn’t extend far enough to the crotch. (Apparently this is a Prana design thing.)

Great short! My only 2 issues are that it doesn’t stretch as much as other climbing/hiking shorts and I’m partial to the belt. The belt does okay. As miles go on, it starts to fall a bit. The sizing is right but it just loosens. I will probably start using a light belt. They are extremely comfortable though!

I haven't worn these to do to much yet. But they are great fitting casual/hiking shorts that worked great for yoga this morning. I can tell that they will last a long time just by the build quality. I really like the "mud" color too.

I have a couple different colors of these shorts and they are always the ones I reach for, regardless of activity. Sizing seems correct, material is pretty robust, pockets make sense and I like the length.

travel, yard work, mountain biking, hiking, wet wading, around town, around the house...best shorts ever. Biggest issue is BC (and other retailers for that matter) keeping the size/colors in stock...

This is my 2nd & 3rd pair of these shorts as I bought a pair in a dark charcoal color and love them. I am 6'2" with long legs and the 12" inseam are great as they fall right at (above) my knee. Durable, roomy and comfortable with deep pockets and a single 'cargo' pocket gives you ample room to hold you wallet, keys, phone, etc without the bulge. That said these aren't blousing out either. These have supplanted my Kuhl shorts as my fav and staple for the summer. Guys with less leg length should probably plan on 10" unless you like your shorts over your knees.

Just bought my 6th color of these as well as the pants. These are the best shorts around for hiking and everyday use. Super comfy, awesome pockets, good stretch, reasonable price, and after 2 years of wearing my first pair purchased, they still look pretty new and have no problems. And i wear them a lot and sit on granite frequently. I usually dont love built in belts but these are a big exception. Even the belt system is great, 8t doesnt twist or ever have the end be sucked inside the loop. Try these but pls dont take my size.

I really like these shorts. Very comfortable, stretch, and light for hot days. I took them hiking in Arizona in July and they were perfect. They fit true to size and do stretch lol I mentioned. You won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed.

I bought a pair of these years ago for my husband (then boyfriend) when I worked at another outdoor retailer and while that pair is still holding up after 7 years (!!), there was enough pilling, stains and overall wear that I went ahead and bought him another pair when these went on sale. He is between a 34-36 and luckily Prana sells these in 35 so the fit is great, and they're just so durable that I'm glad these are a staple style for Prana -- my husband loves them! We live a pretty casual lifestyle, and these get us through 98% of any summer activity we have going on, outdoors or around town.
