The Platypus Siouxon Hydration Pack is made for steep hiking and steep biking. This adventure-ready backpack features a helmet carry system, fleece-lined eyewear pocket, waist belt with zip pockets, and a convenient hydration hose in the shoulder straps, which means it's prepared to handle intense bike rides and long hiking treks. Its main compartment has multiple mesh pockets to store your repair kit and snacks, and the two pump sleeves conveniently secure a shock pump and tire pump.

Since the Siouxon Hydration Pack is made from 210D nylon with a PU coating and YKK zippers, it naturally repels water and stains after each use. Even if it happens to rain, there's an easy-to-use rain cover in the bottom pocket so your gear stays safe and dry without any added hassle of carrying a plastic poncho. And since this pack is from Platypus, it has a three liter wide-mouth Big Zip reservoir, magnetic hose clip, reflective detailing, and a ventilated suspension to keep you cool as you ride.

I was about to not buy this pack based on a 3* ** review I saw below about the built-in minor metal frame that keeps the bulk of the pack off of the back. Am SO glad I purchased the pack, as the back - the frame is NOT heavy, and what it does is keep your back comfortable while exercising all day without sweat build up on your pack/shirt/back. This is fantastic design. This is the best constructed day hydropack I've seen. It even has a rain cover tucked away in a small compartment; so many things were thought about and I haven't been this excited about a purchase in a long time.

I’m soooo bummed. My hopes for this pack were very high. I wanted a small, lightweight backpack more for day hiking than biking, and I loved that this one appeared to have lots of pockets and internal compartments. What they don’t show in the photos (or even mention in the description) is the heavy / stiff feel of this pack due to a completely unnecessary metal frame that should never belong on a pack this size. Why on earth did they do this??? It would’ve been the perfect backpack for me otherwise. I’m very upset because I was hoping to use this on an upcoming trip and now have to wait for a refund.

This pack is the perfect size for short trips. If you're looking for something to house a bladder and a few other small items this is the thing for you! I've used this pack for mountain biking and found it perfect for carrying just about everything I needed. The pocket on the front fits a helmet perfectly, which makes it really nice for the ascent. 10/10 would recommend this pack to anyone!

Super comfy backpack with a good variety of pockets. The mesh panel was really nice to prevent your back from getting too sweaty. It is compact but still has great carrying capacity for day hikes or bike rides!
