Picky Bars Picky Oats is available in three mouth-watering flavors, including Can't Beet Chocolate, Game, Set, Matcha, and How 'Bout Dem Apples.

Each pouch contains between 310 and 325 calories to energize your outdoor pursuits and 10 to 11 grams of filling protein. Game, Set, Matcha! contains 25 milligrams of caffeine for a nice pick me up, thanks to its Japanese green tea additive. All three flavors are gluten, dairy, and soy-free, meaning they're vegetarian and vegan-friendly. Had a chance to try this and I was pretty surprised. I’m not the biggest fan of oatmeal, but this stuff is pretty good. Brought a few for a running trip and we all dig them. Matcha is the best though.

I tried all three flavors on a recent backcountry climbing trip, and I was impressed! Oatmeal is far from my favorite breakfast meal, but it's simple and provides everything I need to get through the first half of a long day. I love that these have so much more to offer than your standard instant oat packages as well; nuts, seeds, fruit, spices, and a little more protein as well. I didn't love the Matcha flavor, but that's because I don't like matcha. These will definitely be my go-to for backcountry breakfasts, and are worth giving a try!
