You've ventured out into the river and the water is lapping at your chest. Good thing you opted for the Patagonia Stormfront Hip Pack - it's designed to keep your gear dry in the face of any wetness, whether it be from rogue waves, deluges, or simply a few splashes of surf spray. This waterproof and lightweight hip pack will protect your equipment from getting soggy and rusting your fly hooks.

Made of rugged nylon, the bag's exterior is coated with polyurethane to keep even the most determined drops of water at bay. It has welded seams and an interior TPU coating to make sure that nothing gets inside. The 3D spacer mesh belt and back panel keep your back dry and comfortable, and the adjustable belt won't let the bag slump down. The padded shoulder strap makes it easy to carry across your chest when you need to get from one spot to another quickly.

Inside, a few zippered pockets keep your phone and keys separate from your fly boxes, and the rod tube holders make sure your prized possessions don't get damaged in transit. No matter the weather, your gear will stay safe and dry in the Patagonia Stormfront Hip Pack.

This bag is built out of very durable components. Zippers are heavy duty as is the waterproof fabric. Works really well for keeping in the boat for securing and protecting gear that will be used for occasional out of boat stops.

This thing is amazing. I have been fishing a simms hip pack for the past few months and wanted something a little bigger and waterproof. This was a natural choice. I LOVE it. It is super comfortable to wear and fits everything I need. I can throw big fly boxes in there and a sandwich for the day and still have room. Its my go to hip pack for long days on the water. The only down side is the zipper is fairly hard to close and you have to make sure it closes all the way or water will get in. It also doesn't have much internal pocketing or organization which can be kinda frustrating. Everything that goes into the pack goes into one big pocket which can make it hard to find smaller things in a hurry. Overall, I love this thing to death. *I personally have not used this product*.......but i fished with a guide for 3 days who used it every day and swore by it. In it he kept 2 giant fly boxes (if u have fished with a guide u know what i mean), guide sized tippet spools, all the extras (splitty, bobbers, hemostat etc), water, and some snacks. The outside has a few loops for your rod if you are hiking. The bag is waterproof with waterproof zippers and will hold up just fine to general fishing/boating use. Zippers appeared easy to use. FWIW, the guide has beaten the crap out of this thing, and it was still waterproof and functioning just fine. I'm giving it 5 stars based on the guide's feedback and what i saw while fishing with him. Again, i did not use/wear this personally but i dont think that should detract from the review. I put 'true to size' but i can't say for sure. I know its somewhat adjustable, the guide i fished with was probably 5'7 and 150lbs soaking wet and he didn't have any problems.
