I’ve been using this backpack for both field work and weekend adventures for years . This backpack has been one of the most resilient bags I’ve owned. Solid construction, well organized pockets and amble space. In my opinion built so well I won’t need another for some time.

This Refugio 28l is a great daypack. I use it daily as a college student and look forward to it being my carry on companion while flying and packing it up for hikes. The material is nice to the touch, smooth YKK zippers, and very comfortable shoulder straps. I wish the front compartment was horizontal as the vertical zipper makes it difficult to store anything significant. I keep a few snack bars or loose items of little to no value there.

This pack is especially comfortable in this sweet-spot size (perfect for our middle-schoolers' daypacks). Only the Marmot Tool Box felt as good (and the TNF Borealis, if you're loading it heavy). This pack carries beautifully and has a roomy laptop compartment that works well for oversized books. Nitpicks: the front zippered pocket would be more useful if not so slim, and the biggest space in the main compartment is at the bottom of the bag - part of the reason it carries better than top-heavy alternatives - but that makes it hard to stuff in a lunchbox or pair of shoes after loading other items. The comparable Backcountry 27L Daypack is the opposite shape, and easier to load stuff at the top, but that shape means a bit more weight higher and further from your back, so this pack has the edge in comfort.

Pretty great hearty and well-built backpack. Made of high quality rugged materials and components. Zippers are smooth. Some minor design flaws in my opinion. The full length center vertical zipper pocket on the back is nearly useless to me. The pocket is shallow and if unzipped fully the contents spill out. However, comfortable straps that sit well on my shoulders and there is a convenient laptop sleeve inside. Wish the main compartment was slightly more voluminous and the second compartment was slightly smaller and not full length.

This is a great pack for use as a work or gym bag. Tons of pockets and organization. Also used it as a light day pack which was ok but wouldn’t recommend for strenuous hiking.

We bought two of these in different colors. The ultimate day pack - great compartments and organization, durable, very high quality.

I bought this backpack to use in addition to my carryon bag on a trip to Costa Rica in late March. It exceeded my expectations with its interior organization and overall size. The exterior zipper front storage was great for my reading material on the plane. Patagonia quality and thoughtful design,

I thought it'd be a good day hike bag but really, the straps are super thin and feel like they couldn't handle much abuse. We'll see how it handles over time. Looks killer though!

This has been my go-to pack for work for 7 years (have the previous model that is still largely the same as the new version) now and literally comes with me every day and on most work trips too, it holds my 15" MacBook Pro perfectly and has plenty of space for all the other electronics, notebooks, extra layers, lunch, and hydration that I need to keep me going throughout the day. This pack certainly isn't as minimal as some other the other everyday packs out there and arguably has dare I say 'too much' organizational features, but it is great to have all the essentials on hand, like pens, business cards, chargers and all. I have taken this pack on plenty of day hikes/picnics and it has been perfect, the side pockets fit bottles of wine perfectly! I have even found myself in some slot canyons in Southern Utah with this pack and the durable fabric has held up great to the sandpaper rocks of the South. All around a perfect pack for work or school! Will be great for years to come and I couldn't recommend this pack more!

This backpack works really well for day-to-day stuff. There are plenty of pockets to keep everything organized, and it's lightweight so it's very convenient to use. I really like using it for short hikes.

I got this pack to carry my laptop, etc. to and from work. It definitely serves the purpose, and is definitely intended for such use. I will likely keep using the pack for everyday use and travel, but not for heavy abuse in the mountains.

Only have used it a few times, but so far it has been a great addition to my packs. Lots of pockets and shows good signs of quality durability.
