Long days wading in frigid waters chasing wild steelies requires an extra layer to keep you in pursuit of those elusive sea-run rainbows. The Patagonia Nano Puff Pants are specifically designed to keep your legs warm even when wet, making them ideal as a mid-layer beneath your waders. The low-bulk 60-gram PrimaLoft insulation provides warmth without making you waddle while you wade. A DWR finish resists light moisture, and a reinforced seat means you won't hear that dreaded tear when you bend down to let your catch loose.

I ride motorcycles in Michigan. I got a 2XL and it is tight around the waist. I normally buy 42" pants, which NORMALLY is too loose on me, and I always wear a belt to tighten them down. These pants are not even CLOSE to being 42"(Maybe they will stretch out). The 2XL is more like 38-39" new. I think I can get them to work though. I have them on now with pants on underneath and they fit higher above the pants, and actually works ok. Not sure yet. Length is BARELY too long. No complaints there. I actually appreciate that. As an old person, the saving grace of these pants for me is the fact that it has belt loops. That gives me a lot of room for adjustments. I am old and fat. If you are around a 40" waist, I would reccomend the 3XL, no doubt. I am someone who prefers a larger waist size and always uses a belt to adjust my preferred size. I think after some time wearing them, they will stretch out, but I forsee the button will fly off well before that, but, like I said, as long as I can utilize a belt, that does not matter. I will edit later. Actually I can feel them stretching. --They are gettin more comfortable the more I wear them. We'll see. I am a long time HUGE fan of the Nano puff jackets. I believe the Nano Puff Jacket is , by far, the most versatile jacket ever made (though I prefer the hoods on the older styles), so it is a no-brainer for me to get these pants. I can do no wrong- expectation-wise- with these pants- as long as they fit.

I use these alpine climbing. Combined with a light sleeping bag you can make a bivy manageable despite lousy weather. I bought them big enough to go over my soft shell pants and pull them on as soon as possible at the bivy site. They make a huge difference. They stuff down to nothing so that’s also a big plus. One bummer is they don't have full length side zippers...that would make them perfect.

I use these in the fall and winter for all the various outdoor stuff. I love the extra warmth. They' ed lasted pretty well, cause they're reinforced and have more durable fabric where you need it. I wish they'd make a women's version!

Me, fit great, nice to slip on in the morning or evening after a shower, but would only use a casual wear. XL, slight over hang on the legs but with shoes ok.

Obviously the Nano Puff Pants are super comfortable and amazing - however, i think the fit is a little off. I bought these for my dad as a gift and he is pretty slim and about 6'1''. I got him the size large, which were far too big around the waist but good in length for him. We exchanged for a size Medium which fit around the waist but then were too short in length. He ended up sticking with the medium but they just look a little funky in fit - but besides that, they are comfortable, warm, and get the job done when walking the dog when its freezing, layering in the winter, etc.

Very warm and most importantly, very comfortable. The reinforced seat protects against tears when sitting on logs, rocks, whatever. The medium fits me well with enough space to wear over pants. I will always take these camping when it's cold!

I gave these pants as a gift to my brother and here is what he had to say, "The nano puff pants are excellent for any cold camping night, or to wear under hard shell pants for extra warmth. I absolutely love them however I wish they fit a little slimmer!" Overall he was very pleased with the pants and had great feedback! 10/10 recommend!

I bought these pants for cold weather steelhead fishing, but I've used them this winter in NW Montana for skiing in sub zero temps and walking the dog in near zero temps. They are easy to put on and get off and provide great warmth. I am a female - 5'6", 120 lbs. and bought the xs. Could maybe have gone up a size, but they might have been a bit large even with layers. I have worn the pants with two mid-weight bottoms and have been quite comfortable so . . . sizing is anyone's guess. My husband tried the large - 5'10", 175 lbs - WAY too large, then ordered the medium, and they were too snug for layering. I absolutely LOVE these pants and wish my husband could have found an acceptable fit.

I bought these as a gift for my Fiance and this is what he said, "I used these over smart wool leggings under my waders while fishing in December. While they don’t make nano puff socks (yet) my feet were cold at times during the day on the river, but my legs wear warm the entire time. No issue with mobility. Pants even have pockets with is makes them great as an outer layer as well. "

great insulators. pair with the jacket for a wearable sleeping bag. material does rip if snagged, but it patches well with gore-tex repair kit. i keep these in my pack in case of an emergency on backcountry splitboard missions. also great by the campfire during cooler spring/fall trips. typically wear a 31 waist, the small fits nicely but snug after a big meal. waistband has comfortable elastic too.

Bought these as a baselayer for snowboarding on those extra chilly days and they are awesome! Warm, light, and comfortable. Honestly, I keep my house pretty cold in the winter and I've been lounging around in them as well - so sweet! As a fan of Patagonia, I am not disappointed. Another great piece in my collection.

I got these pants for my dad and he is glad I did. He uses them primarily as a layer under his fishing waders. He fishes pretty often in the winter and cant ever seem to stay warm! He claims these pants have solved all his woes and he stayed toasty warm! The pants fit true to size. he wears a 30 size pant and the size small fit him perfectly.

Have the originals, from ?14 years ago: real down, full length side zips, ankle cuffs. Love those, still wear them 'all the time.' They are pretty beat but warmer than this new version; easier to put on /take off; softer. And black. SO disappointed. Patagonia, please redesign these back towards your original. And please make womens!

Simply a necessity if you plan on camping in very cold weather. Great warmth, nice look, good functionality (pockets are big enough), and easy to pack.

保暖性一流,做工一流,唯一缺憾就是裤长太长。但依然值得赞!

Ok, these pants are everything you thought they would be. I live in Florida and I still bought them. I was able to justify buying them somehow and i'm so glad I did. I travel as often as I can and these will go with me on all future travels. On the plane they feel like your wearing a minimal sleeping bag, especially if you pair it with a Nano Puff hoodie that you can sleep the whole flight away. These made my wife extremely jealous, she will probably try to steal them every chance she can. I'm not sure why Patagonia hasn't made a women's version yet, there's certainly enough demand for them. Also I would love another color. I would definitely buy a second or third pair in another color if there were some available in the future. Size, fit, and finish was good and am very happy with these!

The Patagonia Nano Puff pants are a great insulated pant. They are light, comfortable, pack down small, and have a reenforced seat. Two jean style front pockets, and one zippered back. Great yurt pants, or just for those bitterly cold days.

I recently tried these on for fun. My body is not built for men's clothing at all so I'm just counting down the days until they make these for women. They feel exactly like the nano-puff jacket but for your legs. SUPER warm, very light, would be really great for packing. PATAGONIA, please hurry and get me these in womens.

I like the deep front and the zippered back pockets. Great warmth/weight ratio. Saved the day when my heater broke.
