Not too light but they’re stellar replacements. Adjustability is always nice to have as well! Be aware there is only 1 (one) single pole

Lighter than the three letter competitors poles, and more red. Also more expensive and not as sturdy. Trade-offs I guess. I went with the poles that would match my exIsting MSR Redezvous Wing tarp poles because the fish I seek care deeply about stuff like that.

Despite the picture, this item only comes with one pole. Since I needed two, I purchased a second pole from sunny sports dot com. I was surprised when my order showed up from sunnysports because it came with two poles for the same price. That’s right, two poles for the price of one from backcountry. Poles are identical, same brand, length and material...identical. Save some bucks and go to sunny sports. The product is otherwise good quality and arrived as scheduled.

I'm quite happy with this pair of poles. I use them with a tarp for lightweight camping. They are tall enough, can adjust down short enough, and pack down decently. The rubber tip on one end doesn't slip on the tarp or the ground, and the spike fits perfectly in a grommet or stakes into the ground. It would be nice if these were lighter or packed down even more compactly but the durability and affordability are a fine trade-off.

As a universal tent pole these get the job done. I've use them in pairs as well as a solo pole to prop up a rain or shade fly. It would be nice to have a little more adjustability but for ease and convenience these poles work well.

Perfect for tent vestibules but not much else since i have the smaller one there is not a ton of other uses for it unless you want to use it for shelter which is also a great function. I would recommend going with a bigger pole though in my opinion.

I love this compact, adjustable pole. I use this a lot when I go backpacking to use my tarp over my tent in front to keep the rain out while I can have my chair under the tarp just right outside of my tent. I have two poles on both ends of my front tarp. The back tarp I used the guylines. One pole I use full extension and other is just one inch drop to make the rain to run off to one corner of my front tarp. I like this pole a lot better than REI. The pole is much smaller rod and very sturdy.

This tent/tarp pole packs to 3 sections and is very lightweight. Even so it has a thick enough wall to offer strong support. It is very well built, good tolerances and it is of higher quality and stronger than expected. This product exceeded my expectations all around.
