Most brands in the outdoor industry when designing women's drysuits start with a men's small model and make it even smaller, or just "pink it and shrink it". However, Immersion Research decided to ditch that concept and start from scratch with the clear goal to build one of the best women’s specific paddling garments conceivable, and the result is the Women's Shawty Dry Suit. Ideal for all-purpose paddling, the Shawty is crafted from naturally water-resistant PCW recycled polyester and has a waterproof three-layer laminate that delivers 30,000mm of waterproof protection for all day on the river. Not only is it waterproof, but the laminate is also exceptionally durable to prevent the cracking and development of pinholes found in lesser dry suits.

The neck collar and adjustable cuffs offer protection in the form of latex gaskets with neoprene closures for a comfy and secure seal, while the booties have reinforced fabric that are built for seasons of hard-wearing river-running. Immersion Research also focused on re-inventing the women's-specific design in the Shawty. No one likes a dry suit that fits big enough to fit two people, so IR tailored the Shawty with minimal dead space to keep you agile, comfortable, and most importantly, warmer. This design also features a relief zipper on the front of the suit for extra comfort when nature calls.
