Haven't worn them skiing yet but the Mitts are top notch quality. You get what you pay for! I have extremely sensitive hands due to a hand accident, lost the tip of my finger in snow blower accident and these seem to keep hand warm in extreme conditions. Not sure what they are like in rain or snow and cold but so far so good.

Seriously the best mittens ever. I was able to take my hands out multiple times in -20F in Banff. Every time, my hands warmed right up. Completely waterproof and omg the most cozy lining ever. It’s like having a little personal fuzzy blanket for your hands. The wrist sinches and straps are perfect. Buy these. If they don’t work for you, they are probably sized wrong.

First I will say I have hands that seem to defy almost every glove I've tried, so understand I'm likely a fringe case, but unfortunately these Hestra's were not even close to the solution. Was promised by a Backcountry rep that these would do the trick, but sadly even on a 25 degree day my hands were still cold. The gloves seem well made, and likely would work for most people, but not me. Also, they are super wide. I ordered the 10, and the length is right, but the amount of space on the width inside is huge! Feels like wearing a pair of oven mitts. Dexterity is really poor with these. Returning, sadly... another failed attempt to find a glove (mitt) that will work for me and my chilly digits.

I was looking for a warm pair of gloves and these were recommended to me by everyone I asked, and I have not been let done. From storm days at Alta (which hover in the single digits) to -21 days in Montana, they have never failed me. I love the removable liner, that helps me regulate my temp as well as dry the gloves faster. Additionally, the leather is super durable and I know I will have these gloves for years to come. If you have worn Hestras before, I recommend sizing down one size for the Heli Pro!!

Ive tried a variety of ski gloves and these have been my favorite by far. Hestra makes an awesome glove that is both comfortable and extremely durable. They have yet to let my hands get cold and I definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about taking the Hestra dive!

I gave these to my husband as a gift and here is what he has to say! I initially tried these mittens on in the store and loved how soft and comfortable they feel. So far I’ve used them outside in temps around 20F. My hands were just starting to feel a little cold after about 30 minutes so if you are going to be outside for prolonged periods of time without being active, it probably makes sense to step up to something a little thicker/warmer. However, I’m using this primarily for skiing and for that they work well and are a good balance between bulk and warmth. Overall, for skiing or other activities that keep you moving I think would be a great choice. For extremely cold temps or long periods of inactivity, I would step up to something a little warmer.

I gave these as a gift, their feedback has been awesome and that they love them. I tried them on, I am not really a mitten fan, I thought there was a lot of extra room in the glove. I tried them on with a glove liner and felt much more comfortable. I may be used to fingers I guess. All in all looked, felt like some kickass gloves.

Hestra has been making gloves for a very long time and definitely know what they are doing. These are the warmest mittens I've ever worn, and everything from the color to the straps and materials look very classy. I never had any issue with snow getting inside them, but the best part was knowing that my hands would be nice and toasty the whole day.

Finally made the jump to hestra heli mittens for this season and excited to try them out. I am 6' and about 160 pounds and I got the size 10. They fit perfectly.

They worked perfectly. Warm, but not too warm. Great fit. Rugged design held up really well. They also were super easy to get on and off in all sorts of challenging situations. The clip that it comes with is also pretty hardy and did the job. Basically, look no further. This will get the job done.

Bought these by following a Gearhead recommendation posted on the site, and I was not disappointed. They are super warm and comfortable. I've always gone with finger gloves, and feel that these mits will make it easy to transition.

I ski about 40 days a year - I wore these for a good amount of the time. With the exception of warmer spring days. My hands are never cold with these - they've held up really well - I've conditioned them 3 times this year but honestly, my hands have never gotten wet. (I'm the Santa on the far right in the photo.)

I gave these to my husband for Christmas. He's had around three months to truly use them in all conditions (Night skiing, single digit temps during the day, snow days, and also blue bird days). All of which the gloves were great. They are a massive step up from his practically gardening gloves he was skiing with. Since he's gotten these, he says that he has overall more warmth than he did before, not just warmth in his hands. The cuff also fits nicely over his shell which allows for easy on and off access. Solid purchase.

I bought a pair of regular five-finger gloves to use in Breck. Day two into my trip, when it was single digit temps and dumping snow, I had to replace the five-finger gloves because my fingers were cold STIFF. I had no choice but to get new gloves and these jumped off the rack at me. After wearing them in rather cold conditions, I am very impressed. So warm and comfortable. I love that the straps under your palm combined with the wrist seal act as a two-tiered defense from the snow even when you take an epic spill. Would recommend to others.

I got these for my boyfriend for skiing, and he has raved about them every time he's worn them. He loves that the outer and inner layers separate so easily, and that they go back together without a hitch. They keep his hands toasty warm and dry!

I have been using mittens for years but have never bought expensive ones. I found these to be fine the first 2 hours, but the 3rd and especially 4th hour, my hands got pretty cold - specifically my thumb. Had to go inside. Unfortunately the vast majority of these reviews are extremely (and enthusiastically positive) so I suppose I am S.O.L.. Guess I will just use my old $30 mittens.

Warm hands are the key to a fun day on the mountain. I love the durability and warmth of theses mittens. The two-piece design increases versatility making this mitten hold up in all conditions from powder days to warm spring sessions.
