Get your belays sorted out in a hurry with Grivel's Master Pro Belay Device and Twin Gate Carabiner Belay Package. The Master Pro is a classic tube-style belay device with friction grooves, auto-blocking capability, and Cooling Technology holes that reduce weight, keep the device from getting too hot, and make it harder for snow and ice to build up. The Twin Gate carabiner uses two opposite and opposed gates on a single biner for all the security of a traditional locker but without the possibility of forgetting to lock it. It's also good for building anchors.

The added T on one end's provide a great no-slip and easy-on/off way hold a climber on tension without fully tying off. You just slip the rope under the T with your thumb and the force to hold drops by nearly 70%. A quick flip out and you can pay out rope quickly. Both in gym or outdoor. My partners really appreciate how I can hold them solid. I appreciate it takes low enough belay hand tension that I can relax and work on rope layout/other stuff -all while I continue to hold them securely. I dont understand why all devices don't have this. Very clever.

Far and away the best guide plate-style belay device that I've ever owned. The lightweight aluminum body comes in handy when every ounce matters. The cooling holes on the side also help with keeping the device and rope clean when you've got ice on the rope. A pleasure to work with. NOTE: This belay device isn't sized to accommodate larger diameter ropes. They'll fit, they'll just put up one helluva fight going in. The two "V-Slots" for added friction really came in handy when rappelling after a looooooong day of climbing when your arms are tired and any grip strength you had is now nil. Overall an amazing device that I've had the pleasure of working with and owning. Great Work, Grivel!
