The terrain park can dish out some heavy-handed blows, so be ready with the Giro Ledge Helmet. The hard shell construction is built to withstand multiple impacts, and its on-the-fly vertical tuning system allows you to quickly adjust the helmet for a snug and secure fit. Super Cool vents live up to their name with the ability to quickly pull cool air through the helmet as you ride, forcing hot and stale air out. Remove the ear pads and the Auto Loc 2 fit system when you want to wear the Ledge with just a beanie underneath. The Ledge helmet is designed to seamlessly integrate with all Giro goggles, while its Stack vents will help to keep goggles free of fog.

This helmet is so comfy and keeps my head warm even on the coldest storm days! I’ve been loving this thing.

This helmet is just right! It fits well, and the outer shell doesn't get dented easily by sticks and being thrown around in my trunk. I've worn it for 3 seasons now and it's still going strong!

Frustrated that I ordered a medium and it was too small. Went to local store instead and bought a different Giro helmet, same size, fits fine. The specs on this are not accurate and I shouldn't have to pay a return fee to find out. lesson learned - I assumed backcountry had free returns, they do not.

As a beginner skier I didn't want to invest a ton of money in gear I may only use a few times a year but I know Giro makes great helmets from my bicycling hobby. This helmet worked great for my two full days of skiing and wiping out. Haha. The temps started out in the low single digits and by the afternoon it was in the low 30s and my head stayed warm with a thin balaclava underneath the helmet. It fit a little tight with the balaclava so if you want to wear something underneath it might be a good idea to size up since my medium got snug with a layer underneath. It looks cool and should keep your head safe on a budget!

I bought this as my first helmet to get into snowboarding this season and I love it so far! I was borrowing helmets and decided it was finally time. It's really comfortable on and I feel like I don't get sweaty at all underneath it. Also, it seems pretty lightweight. Overall, I'm happy I got it and I really dig the maroon color.

Gifted this to my brother who is gettign back into snowboarding. He removed he ear pads and google retainer and wears his goggles under the helmet. It looks good. It is functional. Fits great and does not move aroudn while he rides. No goggle gap either.

For the money this helmet can't be beat! I was looking for a no frills helmet and was pleasantly surprised with the quality. I've worn this out at the resorts several times in various temperatures and it's been perfect - even last weekend when it was almost 40 degrees! It definitely fits true to size and is compatible with more than just Giro. All around great buy, would definitely recommend.

I originally ordered a medium from BC, but then went to REI and found a small. There isn't a huge difference. I'd say if you're on the border size up for comfort. I tried on a sandbox helmet at a ski rental shop and there was a huge difference between the small and large, like can put on versus cannot. As for the product, it's great and I love the ear cover.

Comfortable helmet with full coverage. Breaths well. Only been with temps in the mid to high 30s - was warm without a hat, but vented well—didn't overheat. Don't have the audio system, though headphones worked fine and were comfortable - not being shoved in my ear. Fits my Smith goggles nice without gap.
