Out of all the splitboard skins that G3 sells, the Splitboard + Universal Climbing Skin is by far the most versatile. While mohair skins are better for gliding in cold, dry conditions, and nylon skins give better grip in wetter climates, the Splitboard + Universal Climbing Skin strikes a balance of grip and glide to give the best performance in both worlds. The asymmetric tip connector clips around the inside-corner of each splitboard for a secure fit, and the new tail connector can cam into a tight fixation so you don't have to pull it tight. G3 refined its skin adhesive this year to reduce glopping overtime, and you can rip off the center strip when you want more adhesion after a few seasons.

On my second time in the backcountry with these skins, the rear clip broke which would've left me with a horrible climb out if not being able to rig it up with a ski strap. When I arrived home I sent a warranty claim to g3 and I only received a computer message saying they will follow up with me in 3 days. This was three weeks ago still no response. Please save yourself the time and effort and get a reliable pair of skins.
