Style-check. Function-pretty much. You're not going to want to load this up with books for a day on campus or a hydration bladder for a day on the trail. But as a purse substitute for essentials and a puffy jacket and nalgene--does all that with aplomb. Wife loves it and style-matches the mini kankens our kiddos have. Color seemed a little off from what is pictured but that can likely be a 'monitor' or 'photography' anomaly vs dye lot.

I just received this backpack and it is super cute and stylish but it isn't very practical. The straps are flimsy and not padded. The zipper is difficult to slide and it catches on the flaps. The side pockets aren't quite big enough for a water bottle unless you get a very slim bottle. There is no place to tuck a metro card or a pen for easy access while commuting. It feels like a bag that should cost a lot less than the $129 I paid for it.

I bought this as a gift for my sister in law for her senior year of highschool. Its fashionable, but also has all the practical functionality of a school pack. This is a great pack for school, work, or just a daily carrier for life.

Really useful for everyday: for work, gym, errands. Great size too, you can carry all the necessary for your day a day routine.

I gave this to my 18 year old daughter as a gift. She pretty much said it's great, she really likes it, and it fits all her school gear and macbook air. So if you're looking for a stylish bag over your Jansport, this is it.

This is my day to day bag. I throw in my macbook that fits perfectly in the back sleeve, chapstick, notebook, novel, lotion, and wallet and there's room for my jacket when it gets too warm. It's versatile and I prefer it to a purse. I even used it to hike! Give me a ring if you have questions about the sizing on the pack to see if it's right for you.

Got this bag for my little Mac book air and other carry along things. My Macbook is 10 inches and fits great. Its not big enough for standard Laptops, I recommend the Laptop version of this bag if that is what you are looking for. I like this design of backpack because it has a more mature look then the regular Kanken. Would recommend this!
