The Borson Bike Travel Bag from Elite is an easy and safe way to transport your bike, whether you're off to a race or on vacation. Constructed with a durable and ultra-resistant nylon fabric, your bike will be protected no matter where it's stored. This bag is suitable for drop bar and mountain bikes, and it can accommodate dropouts with quick release skewers or thru-axles up to 20mm. It is also designed to be lightweight and easy to maneuver, with handles for lifting and two rear wheels that transform it into a trolley.

The Borson's hinge construction allows you to open it up completely for bicycle insertion, while internal padding protects the bike from shocks during transportation. It requires minimal disassembly, only needing you to remove the pedals and wheels. You can keep the handlebar on, as long as it's less than 46cm wide, and even the seatpost and saddle, as long as your saddle height is under 85cm. The hoops can be tucked away into two included wheel carrying bags, safeguarding them and your frame. Plus, it has three large pockets inside for tool and accessory storage and a big external pocket for easy access to essentials.

It's no wonder that professional teams such as Team Movistar, Team Dimension Data, Team Sunweb, Bianchi-Countervail, Team Fortuneo-Samsic, and Israel Cycling Academy have given their seal of approval to the Borson on their international trips and races. With the Borson, you can be sure that your bike will be secure and protected wherever its travels may take it.

The internal padding provides superior protection against any shock during transport, while two tear-resistant elastic lateral panels guard against tears and holes caused by accidental tugs. The robust construction of the bag ensures that your bike is kept safe from any impact or damage during transportation. The secure straps further enhance the protection of the bag, allowing for a secure and stable fit around the frame of the bike.

So my first concern with travel bags or boxes is safety of my bike. The padding did a great job protecting the frame and handlebars. The rail system that the bike attaches to is very firm, holds it in place. Even with a large 60cm frame road bike I did not have to remove the handlebars or the rear derailleur. There is room in the bottom for bike bag, helmet, and or shoes, but no good way to secure them unless you have a way to affix to your frame. The wheels in their own own padded bags provide side protection. Weighed in at 49 lbs, but size was too big for Southwest, so it was an extra $75 each way of my flight. 2 flights so far, and everything was perfect. Aside from removing the wheels, the only other thing I had to do was lower the seat. High marks for an easy to maneuver and light weight solution! TSA did undo the inner strap, put the wheel bag back in upside down with the strap loose, but The bike still arrived safely.
