From bouldery sport routes to long trad climbs to top rope sessions, Edelrid's Boa Eco 9.8mm Climbing Rope will keep you safe and confident while you send. Edlerid made it from high-quality yarns that were left over from the production of previous ropes, so no new fibers were created for its production to reduce waste and environmental impact. A Thermo Shield treatment keeps the Boa Eco supple and smooth throughout its life, and the kernmantle construction combines a stretchy core with a durable outer sheath for long-lasting strength and killer handling.

Great work horse rope! No kinks, no twists straight out of the package. Still holding strong after months of abuse. Probably one of the best ropes I've used for the low price.

I bought a 70m to split with a friend into two 35m gym ropes. First day on it, immediately noticed how smooth and easy to work with it was (much moreso than my other 9.8mm). Durability remains to be seen of course, but since it's a gym rope it won't be encountering too many sharp edges. Love that it's made from recycled materials, too, with the added bonus of a super cool color pattern.

Love this rope! I had the chance to test it out for a full day of outdoor sport climbing and love it. You wouldn't know it would be any different then any other rope other than the color. Eco friendly and bluesign approved. Using left over materials from either normal line, it is a great benefit for rope manufacturers to be resourceful and not add to the waste of normal manufacturing. Great choice!

I got the 40 m length of this rope for a gym rope and I love it! It's important to note that every rope is a different color because Edelrid makes this rope using leftover yarns from their production of other ropes. How cool is that?! (Be ready for anything and if color matters for you, maybe this isn't your rope) I was lucky enough to get a combination of colors that I have received many compliments on. The diameter is solid enough for the gym but runs through my gri gri quite easily. It only twisted/coiled a smidge in my first couple of uses. Definitely a recommend!

First Edelrid rope and I love this thing. Was super surprised with the quality for the price point that it's set at. Super sturdy, super smooth, and feels crazy durable. Love it so far.

This was my first rope because it was cheap and environmentally friendly and I love it. I've only had it about a month but I've been using it outside every weekend and in the gym during the week. I was super surprised at how smooth the rope was coming out of the box..and so far it has been holding up very nicely.

This is one ugly rope color-wise. In person it looks like an office-building carpet from the 80s. But I don't care too much about that; I love that it's mostly recycled material. It's smooth and catches great.

I purchased the 40m option for indoor use and I absolutely love it. The colors are a bit more vibrant than they appear on the website. The rope feeds great, and has yet to become twisted. The diameter feels great, and the catches are soft. I highly recommend this eco-friendly rope.

I have no complaints about the rope so far it seems very durable and feels great. As was mentioned in a couple of the other comments, the colors are all unique so mine was definitely a lot more blue overall than the yellowish color shown here. Didn't bother me but just a heads up if you're really wanting that color you might not get it!

I have the 70m and from day one it has been fantastic. From the moment I uncoiled it for the first time I haven't had issues with it kinking and it's been smooth. It performed beautifully on a tower in Moab. I love this Eco version and Edelrid's business model and commitment to lowering their environmental impact. This rope exists to lower their waste in materials during manufacturing and I think it's genius. No 2 batch of ropes has the same colors! So you get a unique rope :)

I picked up a 70m in the spring and have used it as my all around workhorse and has seen about 200 pitches. Everything from pitches of rough lower angled granite, some TR use, and lots of overhanging sport falls working routes. I have not had to cut the rope yet and the sheath is still wearing well. It has a great sweet spot of soft catch without too much stretch. It does have just a tad bit of a "soft" hand feel, my slightly stiffer sterling nano does clip a tad easier (and wears MUCH faster).

I bought a 40m of this rope for gym climbing and not only is it perfect for climbing, super supple, durable, and gives soft yet perfect falls - it just looks coooool! My partner also got one of these, and from my rope to his rope, there is a significant difference in the pattern - it's pretty unique. I also appreciate the idea that they produced this rope in accordance to bluesign - but also that this rope is produced with what would previously have been thrown away. Affordable as well! My personal recommendation to anyone looking for a unique rope - especially for the gym!
