From crisp autumn mornings to breezy spring afternoons, the Castelli Men's Sorpasso 2 Bib Knicker provides essential insulation to keep you riding comfortably through chilly transitional seasons. Castelli recommends it for temperatures ranging from 50 to 60 degrees, making it ideal for transitional seasons when it's not cold enough for thermal winter apparel, yet it's much too chilly for standard cycling shorts.

ThermoFlex Core2 is placed along the front panels and knees for extra insulation from heat-robbing breezes and cool temperatures that would otherwise leave you shivering. To promote flexibility, Thermoflex over the thighs and rear legs for fluid pedaling motion. Castelli then employs a multi-density Progetto X² Air seat pad to soak up jarring oscillations that would otherwise cause fatigue and chafing. This premium seat pad is lined with four-way stretch, seamless fabric that conforms to your every move without creating irritation issues.

Well made. Do run small. Have worn about six times with temp 52-61. Will keep you warm.

I wore them twice, one of the seams along the thigh gave way - returned them as defective.

I thought these bibs would be perfect. Too small! I almost ripped them apart like the incredible hulk.

I have ridden in these knickers several times now and my first take was, Yikes! these are way too small. However, I considered a few things, Are they comfortable? Absolutely. Are they well made? Absolutely. How is the Chamois feeling? Incredible, I ride 40 miles at a clip with 2 hrs. on the saddle and have never been more comfortable. Are they warm? Absolutely, perfect for riding in the winter on the southeast coast. And for being a little small, that's just the motivation I need to take off another 10 - 15 lbs. These do run small, but are extremely comfortable, the lined material make them very warm, and I have had absolutely no ridding up, down, or bunching of the material. The negative side is, I should have bought a couple more. I did however, ask the sales person whether or not these knickers ran true to size or on the small side and she told me "true to size" and that was after consulting with another person.

I'm 5'9" 135 lbs. and in assos, giordana and gore (I've never purchased castelli bibs but have a couple of their jerseys) i've never needed anything bigger than a small so I bought a medium in these... they were close, but still too small. If there was a large in stock, I would be exchanging because they seem like a great weight and of excellent quality. As it is, I'm going to try the nano flex 2's in both a medium and a large to see which fits best.

I'm 73" & 170 lb. and this bib is way small and I ordered an XL, which I returned. Have never ordered above XL and have never needed to. Will probably return to Assos or Rapha...as sizing for me is more appropriate to my expectations...

The knickers look to be great quality and lined. All my past Castelli purchases have been XL, but with these knicks I felt like I was going to rip the bib straps.

I am a fan of the X2 chamois and Castelli gear in general. I found these in size large to be smaller than my other Castelli bibs and knickers in large which was a little disappointing and unexpected. In the past Castelli XLs have all been a little too big in the seat area for me.

Great by themselves down to 30 degrees, add leg warmers for sub-freezing temps, red felt on inside keeps sensitive areas warm, same great Castelli shamois, bought a second pair for when these need to be retired
