If your season consists of traveling from one snowboarding locale to the next in search of contests, rails, or powder, and your summers are just a search for the endless winter, then the Burton Wheelie Locker is the bag for you. With tons of storage space and features designed to make the hassle of traveling with snowboard gear easier, you could pack the Wheelie Locker up on the first snowfall and not have to restock it until the summer thaw.

The fully padded Double Deck construction allows you to keep your main board with bindings on in the top compartment while you stash your backup decks in the bottom half. A removable boot and binding bag helps you beat airline weight restrictions. Smooth-rolling Ixion skate wheels and a Comfort Cush retractable handle make it easy to lug around from the airports of Austria to the streets of Japan.

I ordered this bag (Burton Wheelie Locker) and also the slightly less expensive, slightly lower volume Burton Wheelie Board Case, both in 181cm length because I needed the longest possible bag to carry one 169cm board and a second 165cm board. I kept the less expensive Wheelie Board Case and returned the Wheelie Locker before using it - here's why: --I weighed both on a sensitive hanging bicycle scale, and the Wheelie Locker is 3.5 lbs. heavier than the Wheelie Board Case. With most airlines having max check-in bag weight limit of 45-50 lbs., shaving every pound is important particularly when carrying 2 boards, 2 sets bindings, boots and some other minor gear. --The Wheelie Locker has 2 zippered compartments running length of bag, which wastes valuable space. I don't need 2 lengthwise zippered compartments if they don't each separately accommodate board with mounted bindings and the Wheelie Locker's 2 lengthwise compartments are not big enough to accommodate that (if they did, I would have kept the Wheelie Locker despite it being heavier). The Wheelie Locker does have 2 small zippered compartments (one on each end) that the Wheelie Board Case does not and that are functional to pack one single boot or set of bindings separately in each, and would be nice if the Wheelie Board Case had them (it does not), but these separate zippered pockets do not merit choosing the Wheelie Locker over the Wheelie Board Case in my opinion. Recommendation: if the downsides of the Burton Wheelie Locker described above are downsides to you despite its slightly higher volume, get the Burton Wheelie Board Case instead. I wish DaKine made a 181cm bag because I would have ordered that too to compare it against the Burton Wheelie Board Case - DaKine's longest bag is 175cm and I wanted/needed the extra length of the Burton 181cm bag.
