Good looks and practicality are the hallmarks we've come to expect from Brooks and the Pitfield Flat Top Backpack is no exception. This pack is durable and features exceptional levels of storage and protection for the urban cyclist. Materials such as aluminum buckles, PU coated nylon 66, Cordura, and Aquaguard YKK zippers make this flap-closure backpack water resistant and perfect for commuting to school, work, or the pub in any weather condition.

A padded laptop compartment securely and safely carries your computer while a unique, stretchable outer compartment holds your helmet whenever you're off your bike. Two zipper side pockets are handy and designed to hold water bottles. Padded, adjustable shoulder straps and length-adjustable chest strap ensure a stable and comfortable fit while the carrying handle makes it easy to tote if the bag isn't on your shoulders. The lining is constructed from 100% recycled PET bottles and the bag has reflective details throughout, helping you stay visible in low light.

I looked at a number of new riding packs since I have been using my Timbuk2 Swig for almost 6 years. on anything over 10 miles the straps of the Swig start to irritate my neck. I needed something a little bigger and wanted 100% waterproof for those just in case scenarios. A laptop sleeve was also a must. After few purchases and returns I settled on the Pitfield. It's a great streamlined pack and well built. Lots of room but also a nice thin profile. -1 for being made in Vietnam...I assumed that being a Brooks product that it would be made in the UK. Nevertheless, it is a solid backpack and appears to be very durable.

Just used it a couple times but wanted to get a review up since there doesn't seem to be many out there. This is a great bag to balance a professional look with the needs of a bike commuting bag. construction seems solid and it keeps the laptop dry, but what I like is the ability to be either a very elegant, slim work bag, or it can unzip a few compartments and fit the change of clothes, running shoes, and lunch too. Great design.
