Altra really nailed it with this shoe, 5 stars for sure. I'm a classic Altra success story, I literally wouldn't be running if it wasn't for Altra shoes. I own several pair for trail, road, and casual. They are the perfect fit for my foot, zero drop works really well for my body, and they are the only shoe I run, walk, or hike in. The Lone Peaks are money. It took me a while to find my way to them, but now that I have they are the ultimate Goldilocks pair. I used to bounce back and forth between the Superior and the Timp depending on the mission, but the Lone Peaks have quickly replaced both since I started running in them a few months ago. I love the tread pattern and the grip it provides, just right for how I love to move and for the trails in the Wasatch that I frequent. The level of cushioning is enough for high impact and steep trails, and I still have the side to side agility and feel for the trail. Durability has been great, no abnormal signs to wear after a lot of miles on a single pair.

Fit was true to size for me. I'm an 11 in these and everything else. Durability remains to be seen... BUT... extremely light and comfortable. If they hold up for a full season +, they're my new favorite shoes.

Bought them for hiking, I wore them to work to break them in, I've hit a few short trails as well.. I will say, I'm probably shifting to the Timps after these, just for the extra kush, but the Lone Peak is solid! I move .5 up in size from my vans. Vans = 11 , Altra = 11.5
